For those of you visiting my site for the first time let me tell you a little about myself; I am a native of Ballymakeera/Baile Mhúirne Co. Cork and a native Irish speaker. I have lived in the artistic heartland of West Cork for 20 years and for the past 10 years developed my own distinctive abstract painting style. I would describe my art as a labour of love born through colour and texture. Some of my key inspirations have included a full-time Art & Design course and more specifically my involvement with the renowned lrish/American artist Matt Lamb of Chicago. During many summers at his working studio near Skibbereen in West Cork he kindly imparted many of his skills and painting techniques which I acknowledge as being influential in shaping my own painting style. Other significant influences come from nature where I use oils, acrylics and mixed media to reflect my passion for colour. I am a regular contributor to the ‘off the wall’ online auction at morganodriscoll.com. I have also sold a painting with the West Cork Arts Centre for one of their major fundraisers in 2014.

After my first successful solo exhibition called ‘Open Your Mind To Colour’ in The Coast Guard Cultural & Arts Centre, Tramore, Co. Waterford in July 2015. I recently held my second solo exhibition called Turas le Dathanna‘, in Ionad Cultúrtha an Dochtúir Ó Loingsigh, Baile Mhúirne, Co. Chorcaí which ran from the 7th of April to the 2nd of May, 2016.

I am currently preparing for my 2016 exhibits so please come back later in the year for further information.
